A dancing policewoman has become an online sensation after she boogied on down to the Footloose soundtrack during Manchester's Pride celebrations.

The Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officer, named as Inspector Jacqui Prest, was caught on camera dancing her way along the city's Portland Street as the main theme from the film's soundtrack was playing.

The video, uploaded to YouTube, has already been shared more than 200,000 times.

Greater Manchester Police tweeted: "Check out Insp Prest's moves ... we think she can expect a call from @bbcstrictly any day now! #DancingPoliceOfficer".
