Police station burglar alarm still ringing after two weeks

A burglar alarm at a former police station has been giving locals a headache - as it has not stopped ringing for two weeks.
The alarm first went off on August 7 and local businesses say no one has come to deal with it despite it also being in a residential area.
Simon Morton, of nearby Morton's Solicitors, told ITV News: "It's been going off everyday for two weeks now.
"As well as being annoying, it's embarrassing as it's in a former police station.
"Police officers walk past it everyday to go to the magistrates court so there's no way they couldn't have heard it.
"I know it's not a priority but it doesn't exactly send out the right message - it doesn't give local businesses reassurance anyone will come out if their alarm goes off."
The building is no longer owned by the police and is set to be turned into flats.
It has a sign on the front which says the property is monitored 24 hours but it seems that is not the case.
DK Architects, who are acting as agents for the development, told ITV News they were aware of the issue but did not know if it had actually been turned off yet.
