Duchess of York appears on US shopping channel to sell juicer
The Duchess of York has appeared on the US shopping channel QVC promoting a food blender and "pick me up" smoothies.
Whilst promoting the products, she said that the American people had helped her build up her confidence by believing in second chances. She said they had given her daughters their mother back.
She joined a live demonstration on how to make a breakfast smoothie whilst speaking with the presenter about the juicer from her Duchess Discoveries range.
The Duchess spoke of how she turned to the blender after she "ballooned up" in weight, saying the smoothies helped her get back into shape.
"I've made a few mistakes, put on weight and done this, that and the other and now because of the American people, I wanted to be really honest with them."
Speaking of how she was affected after she was targeted for her weight, she said: "No longer am I the Duchess of Pork ... or fat frumpy Fergie ... It broke my heart."
The Duchess has recently launched a new site entitled "Duchess Discoveries" in which she selects and promotes products she thinks "improve our lives".
"I launched the Duchess Discoveries initiative to highlight exciting new innovations designed to improve our lives, starting with solutions to defeat the global obesity problem," she writes on the site.
