Kids Company statement: 'It is a very sad end to Camila's pioneering vision'
Kids Company has issued a statement saying its closure was a "very sad end" to founder Camila Batmanghelidjh's "pioneering vision".
It said the charity closed due to lack of funding - its 11 street level centres in London and Bristol and its outreach project in Liverpool have closed along with more than 40 schools in London and Bristol.
Trustees from the charity remain in close touch with local authorities and other charities to help children and young people access their services, the statement said.

Founder Camila Batmanghelidjh expressed "profound sadness" as she confirmed the youth work charity had been "forced to close".>
