'If I ever decide to divorce my Queen - I'll tell you myself': Will Smith shuts down persistent divorce rumours
Hollywood actor Will Smith has issued a statement to his fans denying persistent reports he is set to divorce his actress wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
The Men In Black star took to Facebook in a bid to end years of speculation that his relationship with Gotham actress Pinkett Smith is on the verge of ending.
In an impassioned statement, Smith, 46, described his wife of 18 years as his "Queen" and described the rumours as "dumb".
He wrote: "Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness. (Because it's contagious) But, so many people have extended me their "deepest condolences" that I figured - "What the hell ... I can be foolish, too!"
"So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness ... Jada and I are ... NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! : -)
"I promise you all - if I ever decide to divorce my Queen - I SWEAR I'll tell you myself!"
The actor and director added: "Dumb People Should Have to Wear Scarlet D's."
He and Pinkett Smith, 43 have three children, sons Trey and Jaden and daughter, Willow.
In June Pinkett Smith addressed rumours that her husband had been unfaithful to her on the Howard Stern Show.
"You've got to trust who you’re with," she said. "And at the end of the day, I’m not here to be anybody’s watcher. I'm not here to be anybody’s watcher. I’m not his watcher. He's a grown man."
Following her husband's post, the Magic Mike XXL star posted this supportive message on Twitter:
