New Hunger Games trailer shows glimpses of late Philip Seymour Hoffman
The trailer for the final Hunger Games movie has been released, showing some of the last footage of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman.
The trailer shows glimpses of the final scenes filmed by Hoffman before his death in February 2014.
He is briefly seen standing with his face to the camera and tears brimming in his eyes.
His role as Plutarch Heavensbee in the big-screen adaptations of Suzanne Collins' books was one of his final roles before his death.
In an interview last year, director Francis Lawrence spoke about the decision not to use CGI 'trickery' following Hoffman's death.
He told HuffPost Live: "He had two scenes with dialogue that were left and we decided we didn't want to try any digital trickery with him, so we rewrote his scenes and gave the dialogue to other actors."
The trailer opens with a voice-over from Donald Sutherland, who plays the president of Panem, Coriolanus Snow.
"I've been watching you and you watching me," he tells Jennifer Lawrence's character, Katniss Everdeen.
The movie marks the final instalment which will see an epic battle erupt as Katniss leads "a revolution to end all revolutions".
With traps everywhere and unseen enemies confronting them from all angles, they soon realise the stage is set for the 76th Hunger Games.
