As Prince George turns two years old, we take a look back at the young royal's most memorable moments so far.

Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge greeted his adoring public with a royal wave as he left the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital - his first public appearance.

Cradled in his proud parents' arms, the baby prince, whose name had yet to be revealed, thrilled well-wishers by wiggling his fingers.

George's behaviour was fit for a prince at his christening. Dressed in the traditional cream frilly gown - a replica of the Victorian royal christening outfit - the three-month-old prince gurgled and blew bubbles ahead of the short service at the Chapel Royal.

He also looked overjoyed during his official christening photo shoot with Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge.

George was dubbed a "royal bruiser" for stealing other babies' toys when he joined a playgroup in New Zealand and making a little girl called Paige cry after grabbing her wooden doll.

It seems Prince George has a lot to learn about the proper etiquette to accepting royal gifts.

Presented with a cuddly toy bilby - a rabbit-like marsupial - at Sydney's Taronga Zoo, the nine-month-old grabbed it with delight ... before immediately flinging it on to the floor.

Prince George's first public appearance in the UK since he was a newborn baby saw him being taken to the Lindo Wing to meet new baby sister Princess Charlotte for the first time.

Sporting a side parting and a similar look to his father, George waved at the crowds before leaning towards William for reassurance - and received a kiss on the head as he was carried up the steps.

As William and Prince Harry played polo in June at Beaufort Polo Club in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, George and Kate entertained each other by dancing about, with the prince clambering up a bank, grabbing handfuls of grass and happily rolling around.

George made his first appearance at the Queen's official birthday parade - a rite of passage for young royals - taking to the Buckingham Palace balcony.

He was also spotted at the window watching with delight as soldiers made their way to Horse Guards Parade for the ceremony.

The Cambridges delighted the crowds at Sandringham when George strolled hand in hand with William as Charlotte was pushed to church by Kate in a vintage 1950s Millson pram once used by the Queen for her children.

George showed himself to be a doting older brother when, standing on tiptoes, he peeked into the pram at Charlotte's christening to look at his nine-week-old baby sister.
