The government is set to reveal a new bill designed to curb the powers of unions to declare strike action. The full text of the Trade Unions Bill has not yet been revealed, but it's expected to include various severe changes.

The bill is going to propose significant minimum turnouts in strike ballots, time limits on holding industrial action once the mandate has been agreed and changes to how unions collect political levies.

The bill is set to get its first reading later today, but it will not be debated until another day.

Here are a few of the expected reforms.
