The terrifying moment a plane was forced to make an emergency landing on a busy motorway
A small plane was forced to make a hair-raising emergency landing on a motorway in New Jersey. Incredibly, only one person was injured.
CCTV video of the landing released by police shows the aircraft, used for training skydivers, gliding onto the grass-covered median, narrowly missing passing cars.
The instructor sustained a cut on his arm, but no other injuries were reported in the accident, which happened on Sunday.
The plane was carrying five people, including students from a nearby skydiving school, when it ran out of power.
The incident is now being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration, which regulates civilian air travel in the States.
