Rapper 50 Cent files for bankruptcy

Curtis James Jackson III, the rapper more commonly known as 50 Cent, has filed for bankruptcy protection in his home state of Connecticut today.

Court documents filed to a court in the city of Hartford show that Jackson has reported assets and debts which are both between $10 million and $50 million (£6.4 million to £32.1 million)

Last Friday a jury told 50 Cent to pay $5 million to a woman who sued him over a sex tape of hers he had acquired.
