Water park builds 'World's Longest Waterslide'

A water park in America has unveiled what it hopes is the 'World's Longest Waterslide.'

The 2,000 ft long 'Xtreme' ride is the latest addition to Action Park in New Jersey.

From start to finish it takes just 60 to 90 seconds, depending on the rider, and requires 1,000 gallons of water to operate.

If successful, it would be the second time the park make it in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Last year they opened the world's tallest and only double looping drop box waterslide called ZeroG.

The park tweeted: "The first few tests runs of the World's Longest Waterslide have been successful!"

However, daredevils wanting to try it out may have to wait until next summer when it is expected to open to the public.
