Charity hits out at criticism of Princess Elsa birthday cake
A charity has hit out at online criticism of a Frozen Princess Elsa cake that was at the centre of a viral storm this week.
New York charity Icing Smiles, which provides novelty cakes for critically ill children, said the recipient of the cake "loved it" and posted a strong response to internet users who had taken to Reddit to criticise the creation.
Baker McGreevy Cakes, which made the original Elsa cake that inspired the one organised by Icing Smiles, supported its imitator in a statement posted on Facebook.
"At the end of the day, they took a risk, and instead of hiding in their safe little comfy box, they stepped out of it for a second and gave it a go. And THAT'S what I think this life is all about."
