Queen and Prince Philip arrive in Berlin for German state visit

The Queen and Prince Philip have arrived in Berlin for a state visit to Germany.

The royal couple were greeted by a red carpet on the rainy runway, as well as a full guard of honour from the German army.

The royals were welcomed with a gun salute.

There was also a gun salute as the Queen moved down the line of dignitaries waiting to welcome her to Germany.

The three day trip will be the fifth state visit to Germany for the Queen.
