It might take place at the beginning of Summer, but good weather is not always guaranteed for Ladies Day at Royal Ascot.

Months of planning that eye catching outfit can be washed away by rain and wind, making it a nightmare to keep your fascinator in place as you shimmy around the racecourse.

Thankfully it looks like the weather tomorrow will behave itself across the county of Berkshire which will be lit up with an array of colourful dresses as well as bright rays of sunshine and blue sky.

The forecast is settled thanks to a ridge of high pressure holding on towards Southern Britain. So you can expect gentle winds and plenty of sunshine, in fact wall to wall blue sky for a good part of the day. It'll also feel warm with temperatures sitting around 22C in the afternoon.

Away from Ascot, similar conditions are forecast across much of England, Wales and Northern Ireland, although generally the further north you go the more cloud there'll be.

Across Northern England and Scotland I'm afraid the cloud to sun ratio will be very much in favour of cloud, with some patchy rain, especially over the high ground in the west of Scotland.
