Eight of the 10 men convicted over Malala Yousufzai shooting 'released'
Only two of the 10 men convicted for their roles in the attempted murder of Malala Yousufzai are still in jail after eight were released by Pakistan authorities according to reports.
Salim Marwat, a police chief in Swat Valley told NBC News that: "eight people have been freed due to lack of proper proof and evidence against them."
An anti-terrorism court in Pakistan sentenced the 10 men to 25 years in prison for the 2012 shooting in April.
Pakistan's Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack on the teen education activist who was shot in the head in 2012.
