Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce, has revealed her new appearance on the cover of Vanity Fair.

The former Olympic medallist and reality TV star announced last month that she was transitioning to become a woman, and now her full transformation has been revealed in pictures taken by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz.

In a video posted on the magazine's website Jenner, who is also Kim Kardashian's step-parent, is shown taking part in the photo shoot and she discusses her journey.

She says that Bruce was "always living a lie, always had a secret" but "Caitlyn doesn't have any secrets and as soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out I'm free."

Caitlyn has a new Twitter account and also been sharing her excitement about her appearance as a cover girl with her fans.

Kim Kardashian-West also showed her support via Twitter.
