Woman proposes to girlfriend straight after Yes vote

A woman proposed to her girlfriend moments after same-sex marriage was legalised in Ireland.

Billie got down on one knee in a count centre in Limerick to ask Kate to marry her within minutes of the final tally.

Luckily Kate said yes and the couple could be the first to get engaged since the landmark vote.
