Boston bombings: Who were the victims?

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been sentenced to death by lethal injection for the terror attack during the 2013 Boston Marathon which killed three people.

The youngest was Martin Richard who was just eight years old.

Martin was at the marathon that day with his family. His mother Denise was blinded in one eye as she tried to protect him.

Police officer Sean Collier was not killed by the bombs but died after being shot at point blank range by the Tsarnaev brothers who wanted to use his car to escape.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, died in a shootout with police while Dzhokhar, who was also wounded, was arrested and charged while still in a hospital bed.
