Family acts were a recurring theme for tonight's Britain Got Talent as relatives took to the stage together to try and win over the judges.

First up was singing solicitor Laurie Neale who was joined by his three sons, James, Dan and Phil who made the judges smile as they showed off their vocal talents with a rendition of the Everly Brothers When Will I Be Loved.

Phil Neale, the youngest member of the quartet said the reason his family had started singing together was because he and his brothers wanted to support their dad in something he loved after he had a heart attack.

He said: "The three of us are here because we realised the reason he had that heart attack was he ran himself into the ground trying to provide for us."

Other family acts to take to the stage tonight were mother and daughter team The Lee Dells and father-daughter duo Blast, both of whom fared less well with the judging panel.

The Lee Dells followed in the Neales' footsteps and flexed their vocal muscles with their version of Madonna's Hanky Panky in a performance which Cowell described as a "little bit uncomfortable".

And Blast left judges looking confused after showcasing their drumming skills before holding their drumsticks aloft to form crosses in the air.
