Newcastle manager John Carver invites disgruntled fans into his office for tea
Newcastle head coach John Carver will welcome two disgruntled fans into his office on Friday insisting he does not want another 52,000 to follow them.
The 50-year-old was involved in a heated exchange with several supporters during Saturday's 3-2 Premier League defeat by Swansea at St James' Park, and later found himself at the centre of allegations that he has sworn at critics and invited one to see him after the game.
However, Carver, who was adamant he did not use foul or abusive language, responded by arranging a meeting with two of them at the training ground as he finalises his preparations for Saturday's vital trip to Leicester.
He said: "I've invited the two lads in, Thomas and Allen. They're coming for a cup of tea in my office tomorrow. I don't want 52,500 phone calls now wanting to come and see me because that would be very difficult!
"Its important I talk to the two lads and explain some of my actions. I don't have to, but I think it's important. I'm one of them - and I want them to see I can relate to them and give them a bit of time."
