Joan Collins takes to Twitter to deny she was arrested at a protest in Dublin
Joan Collins has been forced to deny that she was arrested at a protest in Ireland yesterday.
The actress, 81, issued a somewhat confusing denial this morning, after her namesake, Joan Collins, a TD (member of the Irish parliament) for the United Left party, was arrested at an anti-water meter protest in Dublin.
The other Joan Collins, meanwhile, also took to Twitter to defend her own good name, specifically with regards to her namesake's iconic 80s fashion choices.
Ms Collins the politician was arrested alongside 14 other people at the protest, but was later released.
Dame Joan, sits firmly on the other end of the political spectrum, as a self-confessed admirer of Margaret Thatcher and sometime patron of UKIP.
