The lawyer whose hen party swarmed Ed Miliband's campaign battle bus on Saturday night has admitted that she will be voting Labour on 7 May.

Nicola Braithwaite told BuzzFeed News: “Ed has definitely got my vote, but he already had it anyway.”

The accidental meeting of minds took place in Chester, when the Labour leader's bus pulled up outside the same bar where the women had been drinking.

“We had met for drinks in the hotel bar before going out for the evening, and my friend spotted the bus outside,” she said. “As a lawyer I am interested in politics so we thought it would be fun to try and get a picture.

The video took Twitter by storm yesterday - and even more so when one of Ms Braithwaite's friends joked about Mr Miliband.

Mr Braithwaite said she spent five to 10 minutes on the bus speaking to Mr Miliband, who asked her questions about her upcoming wedding and wished her well.
