Father of Becky Watts pays tribute to his 'angel of Bristol'
The father of teenager Becky Watts paid tribute to his daughter at her funeral today, calling her the "angel of Bristol".
Rev David James read the tribute written by Darren Galsworthy at a service attended by friends and family at St Ambrose Church in Whitehall, Bristol.
He said: "Becky has left a huge void in our lives and touched the hearts of the nation.
"We all loved you so much and as you look down from heaven just look at what your short life has achieved - not bad for a shy girl. You will forever be in our hearts and thoughts, rest in peace angel of Bristol."
Hundreds lined the streets to pay their respects as the teenager's coffin arrived on a carriage pulled by four white horses.
Mr Galsworthy helped carry his daughter's coffin into the church, as Leona Lewis's hit song Footprints In The Sand played.
After Becky's coffin was placed back into the horse-drawn carriage a single white dove was released.
Mourners then broke out into a spontaneous round of applause.
The service was followed by a private interment for Becky's family and friends at Avon View Cemetery.
