Inside Tanya Watts home is an envelope containing pocket money for her daughter that was never picked up. It is a reminder of how time stopped for Tanya Watts the moment her 16-year-old "caring, normal, happy, lovely girl" died.

She says life at home in Bristol has been "hell" and as she faces her daughter's funeral today she describes this week as one of the worst.

It will be the first time both sides of Becky's family have come together since the death. "You shouldn't have to bury a child," says Tanya adding that: "There are a lot of people on this earth who don't deserve to be here but Becky weren't one of them.... She should be here..."

Becky Watts grew-up with parents in separate homes but one of her skills says her mother was bringing her mum and dad together: "That was her aim to make sure we all got on and this is why it was so upsetting because she succeeded in that.... The one person who was so loyal, so caring and loved us all equally has now gone."

Becky had been a regular visitor to her mother's home but Tanya says: "She had a hectic social life, so she might come up twice a week and then you might not see her for a couple of weeks...... she had some hard times in the past, she was very insecure, not confident, but she got her confidence back and she got a bit of fight in her."

Life for Tanya Watts is surreal, she cannot comprehend how, Nathan Matthews, the man accused of her daughter's murder comes from within the 16-year-old's home, she is understandably nervous of seeing his mother, Becky's stepmother Anjie Galsworthy at the funeral today.

She also finds it painful to face the truth of Becky's death: "I'm still in the back of my mind not accepting it, I'm not, that I'm not going to see her."
