Sue Perkins quits Twitter after misogynist abuse from Top Gear 'fans'
Broadcaster Sue Perkins has been forced to take a break from Twitter following a torrent of Misogynist abuse after she was suggested as a replacement for Jeremy Clarkson as Top Gear host.
Last week, Sue Perkins was incorrectly linked to the vacant presenter position on the BBC's Top Gear programme, which prompted a barrage of offensive messages on social media.
This morning she announced on Twitter that she was leaving the social media platform.
