CCTV footage has emerged showing the audacious Hatton Garden robbers executing the raid which resulted in millions of pounds worth of gems being stolen.

The footage, obtained by The Daily Mirror, shows a gang of at least six men dressed in blue overhauls, yellow hard hats and high visibility jackets carrying out the robbery over the Easter weekend.

The men visit the vault at least two times over the weekend to complete the heist.

The operation, which is believed to have been carried out by an expert gang of thieves, starts on Thursday at about 9.20pm after the staff at the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit company have gone home.

The group are seen bringing a large number of black bags and tools in and out of the building and taking them downstairs to the vault.

Some of the gang are wearing dust masks, others have full face balaclavas and scarves over their noses.

According to the time and date stamp on the CCTV, the group do not reappear outside the building until Good Friday morning when one of them is seen with two purple holdalls probably containing some of the contents of the safety deposit boxes they have raided.

A white transit van pulls up in an alley at the side of the building and the gang load all of the tools and bags inside before driving off at about 8.26am.

Three of the gang are seen returning to the vault on Saturday evening after 10.15pm. They appear to go downstairs where the boxes are kept and do not reemerge until Easter Sunday morning after 5.45am.

The men are seen struggling to move a large wheele bin outside and then one of them goes back and forth at least four times bringing up tools from the vault.

A man on a moped drives up and parks and then goes down to the vault. The men bring up tools and a white van appears in the alley by the building.

The men load the van with wheelie bins and tools before disappearing from view.

They are thought to have stolen watches, gems and over items worth several millions of pounds.
