More than £32,000 raised to buy toddler new legs
The parents of a three-year-old who had both legs amputated earlier this year, said they were "overwhelmed" after finding out a fundraising campaign to buy their son new limbs has raised more than £32,000.
Kate Hadley, whose son Romeo had his legs removed after he was struck down with a rare condition called purpura fulminans - which can lead to tissue death and blood clots, said she was "truly humbled" by the public support to help the toddler.
Posting on the gofundmepage that a family friend set up for her son she said:
Romeo has already undergone 15 operations but will continue to need rehabilitation and new prosthetic limbs both now and as he continues to grow.
