Sinead O'Connor will no longer sing 'Nothing Compares 2 U'

Singer Sinead O'Connor has released a statement saying that she will 'cease singing' her biggest hit 'Nothing Compares 2 U' as she no longer 'emotionally identifies' with it.

Posting on her official Facebook page, she said after 25 years of singing it she has "finally ran out of anything I could use in order to bring some emotion to it".

'Nothing Compares 2 U' was originally written and recorded by Prince in 1985.

In 1990, O'Connor co-produced a new version for her second album and it became a worldwide hit.
