Kanye West to headline Glastonbury 2015
Kanye West has been confirmed as the Saturday night headline act for Glastonbury 2015.
Emily Eavis, the co-organiser of the festival, said she was "thrilled" to inform fans that the "one and only Kanye West" would be appearing on the Pyramid stage on June 27.
The Foo Fighters have already been announced as the Friday night headliners as the band make their first appearance at the Somerset festival since 1998.
Tickets for the June 24-28 festival sold out in October, but a resale is planned in April for any cancelled or returned tickets.
West, 37, follows in the footsteps of fellow hip-hop superstar Jay Z with his Saturday night slot.
His appearance in 2008 famously attracted the scorn of former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher who said it was "wrong" to have a hip-hop headliner.
But his performance - which featured his own version of the Oasis hit Wonderwall - was lauded as a success.
