Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao prepare for 'fight of the century' on May 2
Floyd Mayweather has said his much-anticipated fight with Manny Pacquiao on May 2 is one "the world can't miss".
The two boxers went head to head for the first and only time before their fight at a press conference in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Mayweather, who is undefeated in 47 fights, said: "This is a fight that the world can't miss. I'm in the gym working and dedicating myself to the sport because I have never wanted to win a fight so bad in my life.
"Fight of the century - it's all about the best fighting the best."
While the mood was generally respectful between the two, Mayweather did allude to the fact Pacquiao has lost five of his last five bouts.
"One thing I know about my sport - when you lose once it's in your mind and when you lose twice it's in your mind," he said.
Pacquiao earlier said he wanted to prove that he could "easily beat the undefeated".
The fight is set to be the highest grossing bout in history with experts predicting pay-per-view subscriptions could reach £100 million.
Currently the cheapest ticket for the bout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas is £830, with the best seats close to the ring available for £4,000.
Mayweather and Pacquiao will reportedly earn £140 million and £90 million respectively from the super-fight.
Ricky Hatton, who has lost to both men, told ITV News that fights such as this come around once in a lifetime.
"You have got two of the greatest boxes in history in the same era, same weight division and for such a long time we didn't think they were going to fight but now the fight is on it's fantastic."
