Emwazi claimed he was 'threatened' by British security services
Mohamed Emwazi, the man who has been named as Islamic State killer "Jihadi John", claimed that he was threatened by MI5 five years ago, according to a newly released audio recording.
In the recording, released by advocacy group Cage, Emwazi said an MI5 handler suggested he was an extremist and told him that British security services were "going to keep a close eye on" him in what he describes as a "threatening" way.
The audio recording of Emwazi's interview can be heard here:
Apart from the claims of "threatening" behaviour, in the recording the Westminster student alleges that during his interview with security services his interviewer was "trying to put words in my mouth saying we know you are doing this, this, and this."
Emwazi can also be heard making claims that during his meeting with MI5 he was asked his views on the 7 July and 11 September terror attacks on London and New York - events which Emwazi said he believed were "wrong" and acts of "extremism."
