William Shatner will not be able to attend Leonard Nimoy's funeral on Sunday because of a prior engagement.

Shatner, who starred alongside Nimoy in Star Trek for several years in the television series and numerous films, expressed his disappointment on Twitter.

Shatner urged his 2.1 million followers to join with him on Sunday "celebrating Leonard's life and remembering the man."
