Birdman inspires Hugh Jackman to play Wolverine 'until I die'
Hugh Jackman plans to play Wolverine for a very long time - thanks to the moral behind the Oscar-winning film Birdman.
Jackman had the unique perspective of watching the film as an actor who plays an iconic superhero, much like Michael Keaton's character Riggan Thomas.
Keaton's portrayal of a washed-up actor who was once a superhero legend seemed to strike a cord with Jackman.
Speaking to the magazine Cigar Aficionado, Jackman said he had told his wife, "The moral is that I should never stop playing Wolverine. I've got to find a way to keep playing him until I die."
Jackman also said that he wants to improve with each Wolverine performance, not with his acting, by just getting more and more ripped.
