Myleene Klass hits out at 'bonkers' email from school mums requesting birthday presents cash
Myleene Klass has hit out at mothers at her daughter's school who asked the singer and other parents to donate cash for a "class gift" for their children's birthday presents.
The singer described the practice as "bonkers" in a scathing open reply on social media.
Klass, 36, published the content of a group email she was sent by some of the school mothers detailing their preferences for joint birthday gifts - including a Kindle and a desk - for their children, from their young classmates.
The email suggests a no-obligation donation of £10 each.
The mother of two, who is also a presenter on Classic FM, posted two emails received "from some school mums" on her Instagram account, changing the names of those involved:
The former Hear'Say singer, who lives in north London, then published her own tongue-in-cheek reply, cheekily suggesting her seven-year-old daughter Ava might like a Unicorn as her birthday gift.
Here is her reply, entitled, "Let's put the fun back into Bdays!":
Klass was roundly praised for her response, with many followers saying the parents' email demands were "crazy" and "grabby".
