David Cameron is used to answering tough questions, and with the election looming he will be gearing up for a grilling on everything from the deficit to education.

But he might not have prepared himself for the question put to him by Capital Xtra's Andre Morgan.

In a test of his 'coolness' the Prime Minister was asked where he would take world leaders for a meal if they came to the UK for the G7.

He was asked to choose between a Gordon Ramsey establishment, a Harvester or Nando's.

He seemed to snub the offerings of the celebrity chef in favour of the high street chicken chain.

David Cameron hit the headlines last May when he sat down for dinner with colleagues at a Nando's in Bristol. It provoked a flurry of selfies and excited tweets.

Meanwhile Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls dismissed all three restaurant options, plumping instead for his local chip shop.

He told LBC: "I've got to say John's fish and chips on Airedale in Castleford just near where we live is absolutely brilliant.

"I think if I was choosing my favourite restaurant other than that, I think, probably, I do like Little Chef."
