CCTV captures Rhinos return after safari park escape
A trio of female rhinos have been caught on CCTV returning to a safari park after escaping and attempting to go for an impromptu day trip.
The rhinos, named Rihanna, Keren Peles and Karnabella, escaped Israel's safari zoo at 6am on January 6 by sneaking through one of the zoo's side gates after the park guard fell asleep.
Safari spokeswoman Sagit Horowitz told Reuters the trio of escaping animals got as far as the parking lot before they were spotted by passers-by and police were alerted.
After the alert was raised the zoo manager rushed to the site where the rhinos had been spotted and drove them back to their enclosure by clapping his hands and chasing after them.
