Camel tramples two to death at Texas farm
Two people were killed when a camel trampled them at Texas camel farm, US authorities have said.
The bodies of Peggye McNair, 72, the owner of Camel Kisses Farm near Wichita Falls, Texas and Mark Mere, 53, were found yesterday afternoon, NBC News reports.
Wichita County Sheriff David Duke told NBC News that pair got into a pen with three camels to clear a frozen-over water trough for the animals.
It is thought that an overly-aggressive male camel that was 'in season' charged the pair and trampled them to death.
When police arrived at the scene, the animal continued to act aggressively and was killed by game wardens with permission of the owner's family.
