Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has announced he is retiring from professional football after 20 years in the game.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page this morning, the 37-year-old French striker revealed he would be embarking on a "different career path" working as a pundit for Sky Sports in London.

"I have had some amazing memories (mostly good!) and a wonderful experience," he wrote.

Henry, who has played for the New York Red Bulls since 2010, is rumoured to have joined Sky Sports in a deal worth £25 million, according to The Daily Telegraph.
