Good news for Grumpy Cat as famous feline rakes in £64 million

The internet's favourite grouchy feline has a reason to be cheerful after it was revealed that she had raked in around £64 million in the past two years.

Grumpy Cat, whose real name is Tardar Source, has raked in more money than the likes of sporting megastars Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to owner Tabatha Bundesen, her pet is not really ill-tempered but suffers from a feline version of dwarfism, combined with an underbite, which gives her the trademark expression that has gone down such a storm.

With a huge social media following, a book and now a Christmas film, things have gone from strength to strength for both cat and owner.

There is even a dedicated coffee called the Grumpuccino named in her honour.

Bundesen says her looks do not put her admirers off.

“People take one look at her and fall in love, even if they actually think she’s pug ugly," she told the Daily Express.

Ms Bundesen was able to leave her job as a waitress almost immediately after Grumpy hit the headlines and the money has kept rolling in ever since.

She now manages her pet's career full-time, with the help of Ben Lashes, a dedicated internet 'cat agent'.
