Michael Buerk: I 'rather liked' my fellow contestants
Michael Buerk was surprised to "rather like" all of his fellow I'm A Celebrity contestants, despite initially worrying there would be "quite a few t***ers".
The BBC newsreader told Good Morning Britain that "greatly to my surprise" he had really enjoyed his time with his camp mates.
The famed broadcaster, who reported on the 1984 Ethiopian famine, said he had also thought "the regime was going to be a bit softer" than it turned out to be.
Mr Buerk was booted from the jungle after 19 days in the bush and getting the lowest amount of votes from the public.
He left having had a memorable few days, performing a rap with Tinchy Stryder on Monday night’s show and taking part in a Dingo Dollar challenge dressed as a parrot alongside Vicki Michelle.
However, he was sceptical about whether his dignity and reputation as a hardened news reporter would remain intact after appearing on the popular reality show.
"I think perhaps that cockerel outfit has put to that to the test, don't you?" he quipped.
