Schofield reveals secret challenge for Text Santa 24
Phillip Schofield has exclusively revealed to ITV News that he will climb to the top of the Shard - the tallest building in Europe.
The presenter said scaling the 308 metre skyscraper, which has 87 floors, means he will "technically be in civil airspace".
Phillip will take on the challenge as part of ITV's annual Text Santa charity event, which sees him broadcast live on the channel for 24 hours.
He told ITV's Steve Scott he was "alright with heights" but said it would be "quite gruelling getting up there".
So far Phillip has presented This Morning, appeared on Loose Women and is due to present the ITV weather later on.
Next he is due to catch up with Ant and Dec in the jungle, chat to Emmerdale and Coronation Street stars before having a midnight feast with Davina McCall.
And there will many more star appearances throughout the night from the likes of Pixie Lott, The Vamps and Union J.
He will take on the Shard on December 19.
Follow Phillip for the full 24 hours on ITV3, ITV and ITV2.
The charities this year are Teenage Cancer Trust, Guide Dogs, WellChild, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Alzheimer’s Society and Together for Short Lives.
