New #GivingTuesday campaign's charitable response to Black Friday

Black Friday saw police called in across the UK to deal with greedy shoppers eager to get their hands on a bargain.

But a backlash encouraging people to give rather than buy is taking Twitter by storm.

GivingTuesday is a new global day of giving and will come to the UK for the first time on December 2.

It's an opportunity to give something back and tell people why it is important to you with an #unselfie.

The trend has already kicked off in America, with the likes of the White House and celebrities backing the campaign.

Denise Richards posted this #unselfie of Orange is the New Black actress Selenis Levya, who plays inmate Gloria in the hit show, supporting Cure Cancer Now.
