Footballer Jonas Gutierrez celebrates cancer all-clear with 'more alive than ever' tattoo

A Newcastle United footballer recently given the all-clear from cancer has celebrated his recovery with a tattoo which says he is "more alive than I had been in my whole entire life."

Argentinian winger Jonas Gutierrez revealed in September that he had been battling testicular cancer for some time.

But earlier this month the well-loved 31-year-old announced that he had been given the all clear.

His new tattoo features a lyric from the 2010 Eminem song No Love:

The inking finishes with the date Gutierrez was finally given the all-clear after his gruelling chemotherapy treatment.

He shared a photo of the finished work on Twitter and retweeted a message from a Newcastle fan who said he would be in the hearts of Geordies forever:

The former Argentine international recently completed the Buenos Aires marathon - before his all-clear - to raise money for a cancer charity.

The Eminem lyrics featured on the tattoo can be heard in this video, but be warned that the music contains some very strong language:
