Jennifer Lawrence sparkles at latest Hunger Games world premiere
Jennifer Lawrence drew crowds to London's Leicester Square for the star-studded world premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.
The star, who plays heroine Katniss Everdeen, defied chilly conditions in a sparkling white gown with a low-cut back embroidered with flowers.
The Oscar winner told the crowd: "It's amazing to see so many fans here.
"Someone gave me a photo of a Shetland pony to sign. I don't know what it means but it's still making me laugh now."
She was joined on the red carpet by her co-stars Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta Mellark, and Liam Hemsworth, who reprises his role as Gale Hawthorn in the latest film.
Julianne Moore, who makes her Hunger Games debut, revealed, "My daughter was reading the books and I read them along with her and said 'These are amazing'."
Moore said her co-star Lawrence is "so very talented and a real joy to work with."
Elizabeth Banks, who plays the flamboyant Hunger Games overseer Effie Trinket, also braved the elements to attend the premiere.
British actor Sam Claflin, who plays Finnick Odair, was delighted to see the world premiere in his home town.
Claflin said: "It's not really sunk in that it's in London yet, this doesn't feel like home, this isn't normal.
"Two days ago I was in Leicester Square, so this is very strange for me that it's become The Hunger Games."
Other stars of the film attending the premiere included Donald Sutherland, Stanley Tucci, Jena Malone and Jeffrey Wright, as well as the film's director Francis Lawrence.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is due to be released on November 21.
