Royal revenge as Prince Charles mocks possibly his 'worst interview ever'

Prince Charles has appeared in a video tribute to the man who spectacularly failed to interview him 40 years ago.

Ian 'Molly' Meldrum was a presenter on Australia's Countdown (a weekly music show) who became so nervous as he tried to introduce the prince, he could barely speak.

Countdown finished in 1987 but is celebrating its 40th anniversary and the Prince of Wales added his own particular take on his disastrous experience with the show.

In a deadpan performance the Prince mocks Meldrum's attempts to get his words out several times and says:

The video shows Meldrum needed some literal bucking-up from a colleague. He now says he does not regret the interview but says he "definitely stuffed that up."
