Vincent Kompany turns down Piers Morgan £60million offer to join Arsenal
Piers Morgan reacted to Arsenal's demise against Anderlecht in the Champions League by trying to sign Vincent Kompany on Twitter.
The Gunners fan witnessed his side throw away a three-goal lead against the Belgian side, where Kompany started his career, on Tuesday night.
Manchester City captain Kompany turned down the financial incentives from Morgan, claiming he plays for glory, not money.
Morgan is a vocal critic of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger frequently using Twitter to voice his desire for the Frenchman's removal.
The former editor of the Daily Mirror offered Kompany use of his Beverley Hill's home, but it was not enough for the former Anderlecht defender to change his mind.
Wenger has received widespread criticism for failing to sign defenders, as the club lack depth at the back.
Following Tuesday's draw at the Emirates, Arsenal look destined to finish second in their group once again.
