An image showing dozens of African migrants perched on a fence above a manicured Spanish golf course has gone viral.

The pictures was taken in the Spanish enclave of Melilla - a tiny piece of Europe covering less than five square miles on the coast of Morocco.

As the two golfers tee off, it is hard to ignore the outlines of a dozen migrants lining the top of the border fence like crows.

Local media reports that around 400 migrants tried to cross the border, before being fought back by Spanish border police dressed in riot gear.
