Singer Jamelia told ITV News Ukip "are knobs" as she arrived at tonight's Mobo Awards.

"I'm not a fan obviously," the Loose Women panellist told ITV News.

"Ukip want me to go home like, that's nonsense," Jamelia said laughing before adding, "I am home".

Asked about the controversial "Ukip Calypso" song, rapper Professor Green told ITV News its release shows the anti-EU party are "even bigger morons than people perhaps first thought".

Green admitted he had not heard the controversial single but told Vincent McAviney the statement of apology issued by its creator - former Radio 1 DJ Mike Read - showed it represented "absolute disrespect" for refugees and immigrants.

Best Newcomer contender Ella Eyre said she was not aware of Ukip's Calypso song, but that "generally it's quite sad that racism is still about and it's our job to stamp it out."

Myleene Klass said the fact that people were talking about the song "certainly gets the message out there".

"It makes people sit up and discuss matters that need to be success," she added.
