Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome claims Leeds' Bellusci racially abused him

Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome has claimed he was racially abused by Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci in Tuesday's Championship game.

Jerome and Bellusci clashed midway through the first half of the 1-1 draw at Carrow Road.

"Cameron has alleged that a racist remark was made on the pitch, which is why he was reacting as he was,” Norwich City boss Neil Adams said.

Referee Mark Clattenburg stopped play to discuss the incident with Adams and Leeds manager Darko Milanic.

The official then let Bellusci off with warning but booked Jerome for clattering into the Italian defender moments later.

Adams said Clattenburg had taken statements after the game and is due to submit a report to the Football Association.

Leeds manager Milanic said he had not spoken to his player about the allegation.
