Carl Pistorius: We will stand together regardless of Oscar's sentence
ITV News Africa Correspondent Rohit Kachroo reports
Oscar Pistorius' brother has vowed to stand by his younger sibling regardless of what sentence a judge hands down in the coming days.
Carl Pistorius said he "can't relate to the Oscar that's been portrayed by the prosecution" and insisted he has "not an inkling of reservation" about his version of events.
The Olympic and Paralympic athlete will soon learn whether he will serve a prison sentence for the culpable homicide of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
In an exclusive interview with ITV News, Carl and Aimee Pistorius said they would stand by Oscar every step of the way:
Carl said he found it difficult to reconcile the prosecution's portrayal of his brother with the person he had grown up with:
Oscar's sister, Aimee, said she never doubted her brother's claim that he believed there was an intruder in his home when he fired the fatal shots:
Carl has attended almost every day of his brother's trial and sentencing - most recently in a wheelchair after he was seriously injured in a road accident.
Oscar Pistorius will appear at a sentence hearing at the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on Tuesday.
